A Day to Remember

I'm not fishing for unnecessary sympathy, but I didn't want August 22 to pass without noting that it would have been Mom's 67th birthday. If you find yourself with a glass of something tasty in your hand today, it would be nice to send a little toast her way.

I'll even hunt up that glass. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Brian - I'll raise a glass to her - for sure! I recently e-mailed you about my Dad and his new puppy - they are both still hanging in there!! Glad I checked your site today.

Here's a happy birthday to your Mom with a glass of sacred nectar(beer). It's a hash thing. My mom died from cancer 3 months ago. I've been reading blogs about that alot. It's like being part of a large family. Comforting in many ways. You don't feel so alone. Also I bought your book and Miriam's from amazon...best wishes and on-on....Jim

A belated happy birthday to your wonderful mom.

I'm cutting down on the drinking, so I'll raise my cup of tea to her, ok?

Cheers!

i'll raise a beer to your mom's birthday! she obviously raised a son in you that she can be very proud of. i just learned about your book today & fully plan on purchasing a copy in the very near future. my mom had ovarian cancer & died in january of 2003. she had been in a hospice for a few months so i really appreciated & enjoyed the comment i read somewhere on your site about someone asking when the person in the hospice was going to get better. someone asked me that about my mom when they learned she was in a hospice & i had to laugh before i explained what a hospice was for. it still makes me laugh.
